The top athletes have been determined for the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) Three-Position Regional Air Rifle Championship! The event was held in April at CMP’s own air gun competition centers in Ohio and Alabama as well as through the use of CMP’s mobile electronic range in Utah.

CMP Cancels Maryland Junior Rifle Camps, Adds Various New Ones In Place
Due to venue issues, two of the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) Junior Rifle Camps planned for Annapolis, Md., in July have been cancelled. The camps were set to take place July 18-20 (Advanced Standing Camp) and July 24-27 (3P Camp).
Event Enhancements Coming to the 2023 National Matches at Camp Perry
Throughout its century-long history, events within the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) annual Camp Perry National Matches have evolved to better accommodate competitors and guests. Keeping with that philosophy, the 2023 event calendar has been modified from previous years – allowing overlapping disciplines and new matches to provide further competitive opportunities – along with updates to the ranges themselves to improve the competition experience for athletes on the firing line.

Each year, the CMP hosts a series of hands-on, informative Junior Rifle Camps for high school age students and coaches during the summer months. Participants in the camps receive valuable lessons on intermediate and advanced marksmanship skills through various exercises and demonstrations, all led by current collegiate rifle athletes.
CMP Assists with 2023 Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Trials
The 13th annual Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Trials were held at Camp Pendleton in California, Feb. 28 to March 12, 2023, with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) there to support the shooting portion of the event.
Dinh Reaches Perfect 300 Score in CMP’s National Three-Position Air Rifle Postals
The results are in for the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) 2022-2023 National Three-Position Postal Competition. The annual sporter and precision junior air rifle event saw 1,370 participants in total over the course of the postal period, which ran from October 2022 to February 2023.
CMP Dedicates South Air Gun Range to former CEO, Judith Legerski
On Friday, March 17, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) held a ribbon cutting and champagne toast to officially mark the renaming of its South Competition Center in Alabama as the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center, in honor of former Board Chairman and CEO, Judith Legerski. The renaming commemorates Legerski’s many years of commitment to the CMP and marksmanship safety.

This article is about work ethic and how an 8-year-old decided what she wanted to do with her life and has worked every day to make that dream come true.
