Shooter’s Technology LLC, makers of Orion Scoring System, is seeking a full time Software Engineer, to lead, develop, test, and maintain our mobile and website applications. If you know anyone that might be a good candidate, please feel free to pass this along to them!

As a small company, we seek a candidate who can take on many roles and responsibilities, and can successfully work independently. Due to our small team, candidates will often be given abstract or limited requirements with the expectation that they can turn them into simple and practical solutions with minimal supervision. Candidates will also be encouraged to generate their own ideas and solutions for our applications.

The candidate will primarily be responsible for our front-end mobile app and website application development. Our existing mobile applications use React Native and our websites use ASP .NET. We expect the website application to be re-architecture in the future and the candidate will have significant input in the new architecture.
This position is primarily a work from home position, with occasional meetings at our Manassas, VA, office.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 or more years in software development, preferably in user interface design.
  • 2 or more years experience with React Native.
  • In-depth knowledge of the following languages, tools, and services:
    • Python and Javascript
    • React Native and node.js
    • JSON
    • REST APIs
    • Git
    • Linux, iOS, and Android OS
    • AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, Amplify, IoT, Cognito, IAM.

Strong preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with the shooting sports.
