Each year, youth shooting teams and organizations that hold an endowment with MidwayUSA Foundation are eligible to apply for a cash grant. MidwayUSA Foundation is currently accepting cash grant applications through December 15. Cash grants can assist with the long list of expenses shooting teams incur throughout their season and beyond, including ammo, targets, range fees, competition entry fees, travel, and more.
Many youth shooting programs rely on these annual funds to get through their season and offer young athletes the opportunity to be part of the team. The 500 Flyers Youth Trapshooting Club from Greenfield, Indiana talked about how they use their annual funds from MidwayUSA Foundation. “We were able to participate in 13 events and hold practice with registered targets. We also purchased new team shirts, shooting pouches, and earplugs. We were even able to have some parents learn to shoot a few times.” Qualifying programs are eligible to apply for a cash grant once per year in either the spring or fall. This fall’s deadline is fast approaching and programs must apply by December 15.
Every team or organization can receive tax-deductible donations through MidwayUSA Foundation’s website and every contribution grows that endowment’s annual cash grant. In addition to general donations, MidwayUSA Foundation offers product grants to help programs grow their endowment. These are free products, ranging from firearms to optics, that shooting programs can use to conduct a fundraiser in their community. Additionally, proceeds from those fundraisers, as well as general donations, are matched through the MidwayUSA Foundation Matching Program, funded by Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA.
The MidwayUSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity working to sustain and grow youth shooting sports by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Every donation made is tax-deductible and allows the Foundation to assist in expanding and enhancing the leadership skills, confidence, and discipline of today’s youth through shooting sports activities. The Foundation supports all shooting disciplines.
