Columbia, MO – In a continued effort to fund the next generation of outdoor men and women through youth shooting sports, MidwayUSA Foundation has launched another way to raise funds. Through a partnership with Eventgroove, Bozeman, MT, MidwayUSA Foundation now has live, online auctions. Every winning bid is a donation to the endowment of the auction winner’s choice and like other donations made to youth shooting team and organizational endowments, these donations will also be matched through the Matching Program, funded by Larry and Brenda Potterfield.
The first Eventgroove auction offered by MidwayUSA Foundation is a Walther P22 Nickel Pistol. This online auction began January 3 and will close January 9, 2022. “We are proud to offer additional and unique ways to fundraise. Having great sponsors like Walther will ensure these auctions are successful,” said MidwayUSA Foundation Executive Director, G. Scott Reynolds. The Foundation plans to introduce new auctions each month but will offer an additional January auction in the coming weeks. The next online auction includes chances to be part of an exclusive pheasant hunt with Larry and Brenda Potterfield at Pheasant Bonanza in Tekamah, Nebraska. Every donation to a shooting team’s respective endowment grows that team’s annual cash grant. Cash grants provide crucial funds to offset the many expenses youth shooting teams incur. Covering the cost of ammunition, competition fees, targets, or travel can allow more young athletes the chance to participate in shooting sports. Many of these shooting sports athletes become future hunters and conservationists. An investment in youth shooting sports is an investment in the entire outdoor industry.
