MidwayUSA Foundation Announces New Regional Program Manager Concept

July 8, 2020 By Tom McHale

To better serve its youth shooting teams, the MidwayUSA Foundation now has four regional Program Managers, each located in their respective region. In the past, all Program Managers were based at the headquarters in Columbia, Missouri, traveling many states away for events and meetings. This new regional concept adds an additional Program Manager and will allow each of them to attend more events and work closer with shooting teams and coaches in their region.

Our Executive Director, G. Scott Reynolds, feels this new concept will be very beneficial for our mission and our teams. “Our program managers are the “tip-of-the-spear” in our efforts to impact youth shooting sports and help youth shooting teams create viable long-term funding plans. However, with the current number of active teams and anticipated future teams, it became clear that two centrally located program managers could not adequately support our mission. By bringing our total program managers to four and physically locating them within their assigned regions, they can better serve those teams with active endowment accounts while educating more teams on how the Foundation can benefit their teams’ financial sustainability.”

The newest Program Manager is no stranger to the MidwayUSA Foundation. Jay McClatchey will return ‘home’ to Pennsylvania to work with teams in the Northeast. As a former shooting coach and a Foundation employee for over 7 years, his knowledge is irreplaceable. This addition of Jay to the Program Manager team allows other Program Managers the ability to serve fewer states but more shooting teams. Long-standing Program Manager, Jeff McClure, will also return ‘home’ to his native North Carolina to help teams in the Southeast. John Linquist will continue working in Iowa to work with Northwest teams and Sarah Hall will stay in Columbia, Missouri to work with teams in her Southwest region. Check out the map to see the regional breakout.

MidwayUSA Foundation Program Managers attend multiple shooting events and coaches’ meetings, annually. To see what upcoming shooting events members of the Foundation will attend check out the online calendar. In addition, you can schedule a phone call or virtual meeting with your respective Program Manager through the Foundation website. We encourage all shooting teams to ask their respective Program Manager for ideas and assistance with growing their team endowment. There are always new options and ideas to benefit our teams.
