On Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) hosted another round of Monthly Matches. The event featured three-position sporter/precision air rifle and 60 Shot ISSF (International Shooting Sports Federation) air rifle and air pistol competitions for adult and junior athletes, fired at CMP’s indoor air gun ranges in Ohio and Alabama. Each match included a qualifying round as well as a final.
At the Camp Perry location (Ohio), Katrina Demerle, 17, of Hamilton, Ohio, claimed wins in the precision 3×20 and 60 Shot ISSF Rifle matches, while Christopher Chisolm, 28, of Granville, Ohio, earned the overall win in the 60 Shot ISSF Pistol event. In 3×20 sporter, Brianna Benedetto, 15, led for the second month after overtaking the same match at the September Monthly Match.
In Anniston (Alabama), the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit’s SP4 Levi Clark, 24, led the 60 Shot ISSF Rifle match as Lake Yoke, 27, of Naples, Fla., nabbed the top spot in the ISSF Pistol event. Katlyn Sullivan, 16, of Statesboro, Ga., was the leading competitor of the 3×20 precision category, with Debi Weiser, 17, of Clemmons, N.C., earning the sporter win.

CMP Ranges are Open to the Public!
The Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center in Anniston (formerly known as the South Competition Center) and the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center at Camp Perry host Open Public timeslots every week, where individuals of all ages are welcome to try their hands at air gun. The ranges are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST at Camp Perry and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST in Anniston. Guests may also visit the ranges by appointment Monday through Thursday.
